The OnePlus 13 is expected to be the company's new flagship later this year. However, it could be launched worldwide in January next year. Either way, thanks to a reliable source, many details about the OnePlus 13 have emerged.
A well-known whistleblower has confirmed many details about the OnePlus 13.
The information comes from Digital Chat Station, a well-known Chinese whistleblower. He shared the news on Weibo. The tipster confirms that, as expected, the OnePlus 13 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
Additionally, the phone will have a 2K "equal depth micro-curved display." Yes, the panel will be curved again. There's no mention of the size, but it could again be a 6.8-inch panel.
The phone will also have a larger battery, which will apparently be a silicon-carbon unit. The OnePlus 12 already used a 5,400mAh battery, so it was big to start with. Thanks to the silicon-carbon battery, OnePlus can now improve on this further without making the phone bulkier.
Fast wired and wireless charging is offered, and three 50MP cameras are offered.
100W wired charging is supported, and wireless charging is also offered. The OnePlus 12 supports 50W wireless charging, so we expect the OnePlus 13 to have the same (or better) charging capabilities.
The back of the phone has three cameras, all 50-megapixel units. The main camera is expected to be a 1-inch camera. The tipster said that a periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom will be part of the package. Hasselblad will also be part of the package again.
The tipster also mentions an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, as well as an "extra large X-axis motor" for haptic feedback. The OnePlus 13 will also be IP68/IP69 certified for water and dust resistance, which is an improvement over the IP65 certification that the OnePlus 12 offered.
