With Samsung's summer launch event just around the corner, we have a pretty good idea of what to expect. While Samsung's foldables and smartwatches are expected to get the typical iterative upgrades this year, it looks like Samsung's wireless earbuds are making quite a stir.
The latest leak comes directly from Samsung. X/Twitter user @RydahDoesTech recently shared a screenshot of what appears to be the Samsung Members app.
As part of the device selection menu for reporting issues with Galaxy products, the app lists the entire range of Samsung's upcoming wearable products, including the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch FE, Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Buds 3, and Buds 3 Pro.
What stands out in the screenshots is the iconography used for these products. The older Galaxy Buds 2 Pro in particular are shown as round, stemless earbuds, staying true to the current design. However, the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro both feature an AirPods-like stem design. We recently reported that Samsung might adopt a stem design for the Buds 3 Pro, and it seems the company is all-in on this new look. The stem design allows for a thinner in-ear portion, which could address complaints about the fit of previous Galaxy Buds models for users with smaller ears. Additionally, the stem design typically positions the microphone closer to the user's mouth, improving microphone quality and noise isolation. Of course, these could just be placeholder symbols and the actual product doesn't necessarily adhere to them.
Another interesting detail in the screenshots is the absence of a Galaxy Watch Ultra as a separate product. This could be an indication that the Ultra model might be part of the Galaxy Watch 7 series rather than being released as a series on its own.
One thing is for sure: there's a lot to unpack at Samsung's Unpacked event. While the company has yet to officially announce a date, it is widely expected to take place in Paris on July 10. However, it remains to be seen whether the Galaxy Buds 3 series will actually be seen at the event.
