The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is probably less than three weeks away, so as always, there are tons of new leaks to deal with. The latest clues concern the phone’s likely design, revealing details about its performance.

Firstly, MySmartPrice has spotted an unlocked US Geekbench listing for the Z Fold 6, which lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, Android 14, and 12GB RAM. These are all expected specs, and they’re all in line with previous Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 benchmarks, but this new benchmark scores higher.

Here, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 achieved a single-core score of 2,257 and a multi-core score of 6,903. This is an increase from the previous test's single-core and multi-core scores of 1,964 and 6,619, respectively, making it a significant increase.

The hardware listed is the same, so the difference is probably either because the phone is closer to the release of this latest benchmark (and therefore more optimized), or simply because benchmark results may vary from test to test. Either way, these are promising results.

Better than the current best Samsung

For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has an average single-core score of 1,940 and an average multi-core score of 5,119 in Geekbench, so as expected, the upcoming model is a considerable improvement. In fact, in these latest results, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 even beats the average scores of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (2,160 and 6,746 points).

In addition to the benchmarks, photos of what appear to be dummy devices for both the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 have also been identified. These were shared by 9to5Google (sourced from Sonny Dickson), but as both phones have been heavily leaked at this point, the images don't show much that we haven't seen before.

As seen in previous dummy photos of the Z Fold 6, there is a noticeable crease in the folding screen of both phones. However, since the dummy devices are not yet ready and are working devices, the crease may not be as pronounced on the actual phones.

The overall design of the phones is similar to the current models, except that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 has smaller bezels around the folding screen and less rounded corners.

Both the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip are rumored to be available at launch on July 10th, so we'll have to wait and see how accurate these images are. Of course, we may have to deal with many more leaks in the meantime, so be sure to keep an eye on TechRadar for all the news ahead of the launch.
