The Z Flip 6 is also expected to come with a higher starting price.

  • An alleged official spec sheet of the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 has leaked.
  • The specs point to a battery and camera upgrade.
  • The rest of the specs are mostly unchanged from the Z Flip 5.

Now that we've learned all about the Galaxy Z Fold 6, it looks like Samsung's tiny foldable phone doesn't want to be left behind. Smartprix has released what appears to be the official specs sheet for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, giving us a pretty good idea of what to expect from Samsung's 2024 foldable phone.

If the leak is correct, Samsung is addressing two key areas with the Galaxy Z Flip 6. First, the phone is likely to have a larger 4,000mAh battery compared to the 3,700mAh battery in the Z Flip 5. This should address one of the biggest complaints about the previous model. The leak doesn't mention charging speeds, but it will likely maintain the 25-watt cap.

Another big upgrade is the main camera sensor on the back, which is listed as a 50MP, f/1.8 shooter, likely the same as the one found on the Z Fold 5. The rest of the camera configuration, however, appears to be unchanged, with the same 12MP ultra-wide camera and 10MP selfie camera as last year.

The spec sheet also confirms that the phone will run the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, just like the Galaxy S24 series. Unfortunately, that's where the upgrades end.

The Z Flip 6 is said to feature a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED (2640 x 1080 pixels, 120 Hz) as the main screen, and a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover display (720 x 748 pixels). These display specifications are essentially unchanged from the Galaxy Z Flip 5, but the peak brightness may be higher.

The dimensions and weight of the device are also virtually the same as the Z Flip 5. It measures 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm when unfolded, 85.1 x 71.9 x 14.9 mm when folded, and weighs 187 g. It's still commendable that Samsung managed to fit a larger battery into the same body.

Once again this year, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will miss out on DeX mode, a feature many users were hoping for. However, we can expect other quality of life improvements, such as less noticeable creases and a thinner hinge.

The Z Flip 6 is expected to come with 256GB and 512GB of storage, but the starting price is rumored to be $100 higher. As we recently reported, the Z Flip 6 is expected to be priced at $1099 for the base 256GB model. The phone is expected to be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is almost certain to take place in Paris on July 10.
