We've heard about display issues affecting Samsung and OnePlus displays, but we shouldn't write Google off. Some Pixel 8 users are complaining that their devices have strange display issues and they're not happy about it. In response, Google is offering Pixel 8 users an extended display warranty.

Just to let you know, some Pixel 8 users are noticing some odd things with their displays. They're experiencing display issues and lines appear on the screen. The lines are pink, just like on OnePlus phones. Another issue is flickering, which is an unfortunate problem since the Pixel 8 is still a relatively new phone. We've been following the news about the Pixel 9, but the Pixel 8 is still a great device.

Google is offering an extended display warranty to Pixel 8 users
If you're experiencing any of these issues, you're in luck. According to a new report, Google has introduced an extended warranty for people with these issues. Pixel 8 users will be covered for three years. If you don't have any issues with your screen for three full years, you can consider your device good.

It's important to note that this warranty is subject to a few requirements. First, and this is obvious, one of the issues is vertical lines or flickering. Next, your device needs some kind of identifier that tells Google that it's eligible for a repair program. An example would be your IMEI number.

So if your phone has these display issues and for some reason isn't covered under the new extended warranty, it may still be covered under the limited warranty.

If you're interested and want to get a Pixel 8, it's worth considering. It's one of the best Android phones on the market right now. It offers 7 years of software updates, the latest Google Tensor chip, powerful AI with Gemini Nano, and many other features. Read our Pixel 8 review.
