A reputable source has indicated that the Samsung Galaxy S25 will retain a 4,000mAh battery.

  • A source has spotted that the Galaxy S25 name has already been registered in Mexico.
  • The report suggests that the device will feature a 4,000mAh battery, which is the same as the Galaxy S24.

While it may still be a few months before the device is released, leaks have revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S25 will come with the same 4,000mAh battery capacity as the Galaxy S24.

According to a report from reliable source GalaxyClub, the name "Galaxy S25" has already been registered in Mexico. This is something Samsung tends to do early on to protect its brand, and the registration in Mexico is based on the Spanish phrase "teléfonos inteligentes," which means smartphones. The base model of the handset will reportedly bear the variant name SM-S931.

This may not be Samsung's final decision.

Although it is not clear from the report, we can assume that the listing seen by GalaxyClub also includes a battery capacity that is said to be 3,881 mAh. This size is usually marketed as 4,000 mAh, which is on par with the Samsung Galaxy S24 battery. This news will be welcomed by those who have seen a gradual increase in battery size for the smallest Galaxy S phones over the past two years and do not want to see any setbacks in this regard.

This may not be a final decision from Samsung, and no information has been provided about the battery capacity we can expect from the Galaxy S25 Plus and S25 Ultra. At this time, we cannot even confirm if these will be the names of the devices. Although it has not been announced yet, the most likely launch time for this series is between January and March 2025.

More immediately, we can look forward to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, which are expected to be announced next month.
